protection mode

the amp on startup gors in protection mode and the non/off button light keeps blinking. prior to this state, the left channel gave problem, there was loud hum and the amp went into protection mode from which it never recovered. local authorized dealer in India reparied once for the same problem but this time failed. incidentally, the left channel midrange speaker went dead before the amp went into protection mode. whether the speaker caused the amp to fail or vice versa is not known. any help/guidance to restore the amp would be higly appreciated. thanks Karve...
