Power On?

My Grundig S350DL will no longer turn on when you press the on/off switch. I have replaced the batteries, used both AA as well as D batteries, and used the AC Cord. I have held the reset in for varying times as well as combined the reset with the on/off switch. The only way the radio comes on is if I set the alarm, then it will play. The radio is almost one year old. Any suggestions? Thanks...
